Summer Bucket List Craft

The craft I am sharing with you today was not an idea of my own but from a woman in my Mops group. It was so neat that I have to share it though. I am not one to make a bucket list because I figure I will never finish it anyways. This bucket list is way different though. These are activities that you can do in the summer time with your children.

Materials needed:

  • Bucket
  • Clothes pins
  • Marker
  • Tape
  • Small Bucket

You can add as many activities as you want to do over the summer. At the end I will provide a list of some we used and more.  The first step is marking your bucket with the tape. You can write what you want to call it on the tape and put it on the bucket. Then you will write the activities on the clothespins.

When you are done with that you can put the clothespins around the edge of the bucket. During the summer when you finish an activity you put the pin in the bucket. By the end of summer your bucket will (hopefully) be full. Kids can help with this by decorating the bucket or the pins and putting pins in during the summer.

Below is a list you can use to get ideas for your pins (it is not made by me but from Ivillage). We used a lot of these but did not use any I know will not be doable.

Have you ever made a bucket list of any kind?

  1. I actually have a bucket list of the places I want to visit before I die but this is great for the summer. I will have to do this for myself although we'll be traveling this summer as well. Great idea!

  2. This sounds like the most sensible bucket list I have ever heard of--and kids will enjoy dropping those clothes pins in that bucket!

  3. This is so cute. My summer craft to do is something centered around the angry caterpillar. I already have a couple ideas.

  4. I love the idea of using a bucket to have fun activities on hand! It's so easy to let summer slide by and wonder where the time went!
